LIFE
The LIFE programme supports projects in the areas of the environment, nature conservation and climate policy. It has a budget of EUR 5,45 billion for the 2021-2027 funding period. Public institutions, private profit-oriented institutions as well as private non-profit-oriented institutions (NGOs) from the EU countries can participate.
The new LIFE sub-programmes:
- Nature and biodiversity (protection and restoration of Europe’s nature and halting and reversing biodiversity loss)
- Circular economy and quality of life (facilitating the transition toward a sustainable, circular, toxic-free, climate-resilient economy and improving the quality of the environment)
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation (contribute to a sustainable, energy-efficient, climate-neutral and resilient economy, thereby contributing to sustainable development)
- Clean energy transition (support the delivery of EU policies in the field of sustainable energy: European Green Deal, Energy Union, European Union’s 2050 long-term decarbonisation strategy)
