Events of the NKS, KoWi and the EU Office

From 2 to 5 June 2026, the European Conference on Networks and Communications (EuCNC) will take place in Málaga in combination with the 6G Summit. The EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026 brings together two well-established conferences in the field of telecommunications: the 35th edition of EuCNC, supported by the European Commission, and the 8th edition of the 6G Summit, originating from the Finnish 6G Flagship Programme.

The conference is sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) and the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP), and supported by the European Commission. It addresses various aspects of Beyond-5G and 6G communication systems and networks, brings together top-level research and world-leading industry, and attracts nearly 1,000 delegates from more than 40 countries each year. The event is complemented by an exhibition featuring more than 50 exhibitors from EU research projects.

The programme includes keynotes, panels, regular sessions (papers published in IEEE Xplore), special sessions, workshops, poster sessions, tutorials, demos, exhibitions and awards in categories such as paper, poster, booth, demo, startup and thesis.

The European Commission invites participants to an online information event on 11 February 2026 entitled “Lump Sum Funding in Horizon Europe: How does it work? How to write a proposal?”. The event is aimed at applicants and project partners involved in calls funded through lump sums.

In the 2026/2027 work programme of Cluster Health and the Cancer Mission, lump sum funding is foreseen in almost 30 call topics. The objective of the event is to explain how this funding model works and to provide guidance on how to prepare a successful proposal. Participation is free of charge and no registration is required.

NKS KEM invites participants to an online information event on 11 February 2026 entitled “Lump Sum Funding in Horizon Europe: How does it work? How to write a proposal?”. The event explains how lump sum funding works in Horizon Europe and what applicants should consider when preparing their proposals.

The European Commission will provide useful guidance both for the proposal preparation phase and for practical implementation during the project lifetime. In addition, practical experiences from the implementation of lump sum funded projects will be shared.

The event is aimed at coordinators of Horizon Europe projects as well as consortium partners. Participation is free of charge and no registration is required.
