Am 16. November 2020 veranstaltet der ERC einen ganztägigen Online-Workshop zum Thema Geschlecht und Gender in der Pionierforschung. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist der Austausch und die Sensibilisierung für Genderdimensionen in der Ausgestaltung und Durchführung von wissenschaftlichen Projekten. Folgende Themenkomplexe werden dabei adressiert:

• Gender in der Medizin und der medizinischen Pflege
• Gender, Demographie und Verhalten
• Gender und Gerechtigkeit in der digitalen Gesellschaft

Abgeschlossen wird der Workshop mit einem politischen Dialog.

The 3rd edition of the Global Bioeconomy Summit will take place virtually from 16 to 20 November 2020 and is supported by the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The first conference held was in Berlin in 2015 and was initiated by the Bioeconomy Council of the Federal German Government and considers itself as an important international platform for debate involving policy makers, representatives from the research and innovation sector as well as the civil society. It aims at linking debates about bioeconomy, sustainable development and climate policies.

The GBS is supported by the International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconmy (IAC), a group of international experts, and provides policy recommendations, reports on the current state of bioeconomic agendas around the worlds, presents innovations of products and flagship projects as well as figures as important forum for exchange and debate.
This year’s programme offers workshops on the following topics: Policy & Society, Science & Innovation, Regional Bioeconomy and Industry & Business. Furthermore, several plenary sessions will be held.

“Making the SET-Plan fit for the EU Green Recovery” is the topic of the 14th edition of the Strategic Energy Technology Plan Conference that will take place virtually from 23 to 24 November 2020 under the patronage of the current German Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
 
The SET-Plan is the framework for the transformation towards a low-carbon energy system by further development of innovative and clean energy technologies in Europe. These technologies are considered to be essential to meet with the 2050 climate goals and the objectives of the EU Green Deal. The SET-Plan also aims at boosting cooperation among member states, industry and research organisations and can also be seen as a bridge between national and European R&I funding programmes.
 
The conference offers nine sessions with various formats, including a panel discussion among government representatives. One of the main goals of this event is to discuss how the SET-Plan can function as a catalyst for the EU Green Recovery.

Die Nationalen Kontaktstellen für Digitale und Industrielle Technologien und für Raumfahrt organisieren ab Ende November 2020 eine Online-Seminarreihe zum aktuellen Stand in Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space. Die EU-Kommission hat dazu sechs „Destinations“ gruppiert. Diese werden nacheinander in eineinhalbstündigen Seminarterminen angesprochen.

Alle Online-Seminare beginnen mit einer Einführung in den Aufbau und die Struktur von Horizont Europa und die Beteiligungsregeln sowie zu übergeordneten Aspekten in Cluster 4 (15 min.). Im Anschluss daran werden die inhaltlichen Schwerpunkte der jeweiligen Destination präsentiert (45 min.) und Raum für Fragen gelassen. Die Online-Seminare finden an den folgenden Tagen jeweils von 10:30-12:00 Uhr statt:

• 24.11.2020: Destination 1: Climate neutral, circular and digitised Industry
• 02.12.2020: Destination 3: World leading data and computing technologies
• 04.12.2020: Destination 4: Digital and emerging technologies for competitiveness and fit for the green deal
• 08.12.2020: Destination 2: A digitised, resource-efficient and resilient Industry
• 10.12.2020: Destination 6: A human-centred and ethical development of digital and industrial technologies
• 16.12.2020: Destination 5: Strategic autonomy in developing, deploying and using global space based infrastructures
